Postgraduate Prizes

The Social History Society runs two prize schemes aimed at postgraduate (and, for the Public History prize, early career) members. Both prizes carry a £200 cash prize.

  1. The Postgraduate Exchange Prize is awarded to the best blog from a postgraduate member. In 2023, we are asking for  submissions that relate to our conference keynote on ‘The Terms of Belonging in Late Medieval Cities’ (which can include blogs that consider belonging and space beyond the medieval period).
  2. The Pamela Cox Public History Prize is awarded to a postgraduate student or an early career researcher who can demonstrate excellence in taking their research beyond the academy.

The deadline for both prizes is 24 March 2023 and there are more details about how to apply on the prize pages of our website.
